Sustainability in construction

A sustainable building is a building constructed from recyclable or renewable materials that seeks to minimize energy use and waste generation. The idea of Unilogistics AG is that all of their systems ultimately reduce undesirable effects on the environment as much as possible or, ideally, have a positive effect on the environment. ISO 14001 on environmental management is a map that determines what standard our company aims to achieve, mainly in terms of minimizing the waste of resources and protecting the environment around us.

Part of the sustainability of construction is also a new framework, which we will consider when renovating our facilities in Geneva and Zurich, when it comes to using as much recyclable and renewable material as possible, such as recyclable plastic or wood, in the renovation itself. On the contrary, when it comes to renovations, for example, we will try to avoid using concrete, the production of which itself pollutes the air with a significant amount of CO2.
