The Blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and Its Direct Impact on Our Industry (Part III):

Following U.S. attacks on Iranian oil tankers, Iran has attacked several ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The situation in this strategically important strait has thus escalated dangerously once again. According to their own statements, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard targeted three oil tankers and three U.S. ships on Saturday evening.

This came after the U.S. military destroyed three Iranian crude oil tankers in response to the Guard firing ballistic missiles at two U.S. warships from Isfahan and Kerman. A high-ranking U.S. military official himself underscored the hopelessness of the crisis and the high oil prices: Admiral Brad Cooper stated that the message to Iran was clear: “Whoever fires on two U.S. ships will lose three of their own.” Subsequently, U.S. forces destroyed three Iranian vessels. The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important straits. Iran is now directly attacking U.S. ships for the first time and has announced a new exclusion zone as well as its own rules of passage.
