Hair loss

On average, our hair grows for around four years before going into a resting phase for a few months and finally falling out. We lose around 50 to 100 hairs per day. Styling, drying, styling and dyeing add to the damage to our hair. However, you should only start to worry if you are losing significantly more than 100 hairs a day.

In the summer months, due to the long days and intense sunlight, more hair switches from the growth phase to the resting phase. This leads to increased hair loss in late summer and fall. The lost hair then grows back in winter.
